Bridget, German Shorthaired Pointer, born July 2, 2002 and Quinn, Labrador Retriever, born March 25, 2005
Bridget arrived after Sparky's passing and a big change she was after dealing with an aging Lab and a lazy Basset. She was active and on the go and is always ready to swim in the pond and play.
She loves a good run in the fields, fetching cattails off the stalks in the pond and curling up on the sofa EVERY chance she gets. As her trainer had said, "These dogs have two speeds - off and high." While she likes hunting for birds, she does not like loud noises so she will be working with a trainer this spring to see if we can work her through this glitch in her training.
Quinn is showing lots of promise as a hunting dog for both upland and waterfowl hunting - when he hears a gun he knows he has work to do. He is also has a sense of humor as he goes through those awkward adolescent moments and he is great at wearing Bridget out so she switches to "off". Hisd nickname of "Cement Head" fits him well and he enjoys it!
